The Shorts on Liquidation Depots

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know that I am all about the thrifting. I love the thrill of the find - that wonderful, giddy feeling you get when you know you have come across something amazing, be it shoes, a lamp, or a piece of furniture. The moment when you pay for it, and that lovely treasure is your very own is ecstatic. Thrifting can be an addiction, or it can be a lifestyle. Often, for me, it teeters between the two so delicately that some days I sincerely wonder if I have a problem.

Maybe we thrifters should have a group. Thrifters anonymous, anyone? Oh wait, that's why blogs like mine exist. Silly me.

Anyways, I wanted to share insight into my newly discovered trove of awesome finds: liquidation depots. I'm not talking about outlet malls, or tent sale type places. I am talking about those great stores with the word 'liquidation' in their title. We recently had one open up in my hometown. Guess what they are liquidating... Target and Zellers leftovers.

And not only are they liquidating them, but they are selling clothing items at 3/$10! Granted, they have no change rooms, and you essentially spend an hour rooting through a pile of strewn around clothing, but really, that's not so different from a thrift store.

Plus, knowing that the brands being sold are just leftovers from the Zellers stores which recently closed in Canada, and some post-season Target, I can be sure that the better-than-Walmart quality is there. Not only that, but they are not pre-worn, and they are as cheap as my good ole thrift store.

So, yellow shorts anyone?

Yep. I thought so!
