Our theme this week was chosen by Kristi over at Delightfully Kristi. We were to be inspired by nature. Well, inspired I was.

Today's outfit is inspired by one of my favourite spring blooms: Cherry Blossoms. As many of you know, I was living in Vancouver, BC last year. While I was there, I had the opportunity to witness one of the most beautiful spring transformations I had ever seen. It's true (and I have said it many times) that there is nothing like an Ontarian winter - the snowfalls are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen - but you can be sure I speak truth when I say that nothing, and I mean NOTHING, compares to the overnight arrival of spring in British Columbia.

It was about this time last year when I started to see the soft pink blooms of Cherry Blossoms, vibrant yellow of daffodils, and the deep red hues of these giant Crabapple flowers. Spring in Vancouver was breathtaking.

So it's a bit of a homage today, to a place I loved only (most?) in spring. To Canada's tropics - and your vibrant, vibrant colours.

    1. Thanks, Meg! It was definitely one of the most beautiful season transformations I have ever witnessed. Ontario's a little later on the uptake... we've still sporadically got snow.

    1. Thanks, Beth! There is something lovely and dainty about cherry blossoms. I definitely plan on growing them someday (if they do, in fact, grow in Ontario climates).

    1. Haha, when I read your comment, it was snowing again. I was going to take a photograph and send it to you. But yeah! Move to Canada! What we lack in sunshine, we make up in "sorry"! :P
