Montreal Snippets

Wow, life sure gets away from you quickly when you're having fun! It's been a busy few weeks for me, and I'm finally getting around to sharing what those busy weeks have been filled with! Today's post features some of my favourite photos from our trip to Montreal during the last weekend in May.

If you're a Canadian, and you've never been - I so very much encourage you to go. Montreal, Quebec is my favourite city. There is so much culture and history, as it's truly the birthplace of my country, and it has some of the best food.

Montreal (like many old cities) is decorated by old Cathedrals, one of which is the Notre Dame Basilica, located at the crux of Old Montreal. It is surrounded by cobblestone streets, small shops, and only a few blocks from the harbour front. The inside is ordained with regal blues, Catholic icons, and a beautifully decorated organ. There is stained glass windows that tell the story of the city's designated saints, and to this day the cathedral still holds mass.

There is also wonderful lattes and croissants, and a small cafe whose entire menu is chocolate inspired (Juliette's Chocolat, just in case you're wondering).

I could describe it for a thousand more words, but I've got pictures, and they are definitely worth their weight in words.
